Chapters 27 to 52 are inaudible on one of the audio channels. these must be redone. These are simple radio plays, more for entertainment with an overview of history. It's Horatio Alger and not introspective or detailed in any substantial degree. Listen to this as the history of how America publicized itself in the first half of the 20th Century, rather than as good history of the topics of each chapter. I happy that it is here but if you want real history, go elsewhere.

These are pretty decent productions from a less cynical time. The wealth of biographies is pretty good and is restricted to a pretty narrow time in American history. Yes if you really want to read adult biography on Robert Dollar go ahead. These 15 minute exposures though might give you a sense of where to start.

These are very fun to listen to!
