In a world where magic is real and monsters lurk in the shadows, the only hope people have for saviors are a pair of janitors. They’re not too pleased about it either, but they have experience in cleaning up messes

Grace West: A general all around disappointment to her family, now making ends meet with a combination of crime scene cleaning and house flipping. She is as surprised as anyone to be making money from this unhealthy combination.

Winterdawn “Poppy” Strongwill: A former child hero in the Fantastical world and now a full-time burnout, trying to live off the magical grid. Making do with a police station janitor job by day and reality TV shows and take out food at night.

Unfortunately for our reluctant heroes the Fantastical World is a mess. Mythical monsters are running amuck, amoral wizards are experimenting on innocents, and one of the worst kinds of trouble is about to crash into their quiet little worlds.

Emma is a golem, an unstopable monster made of clay. For an extra kick the fiend that made her used clay created with the ashes taken from the ovens of Dachau. Emma is set on a “holy” mission, to reclaim artifacts stolen from the victims of the Holocaust camps. Unfortunately she does this by killing everyone and anyone in her way, regarless of innocence, and in the most brutal ways possible.

Grace and Poppy are drawn into Emma’s orbit by the grisely murders of close friends. Knowing that they are the only ones who have a chance of stopping the monster, Grace and Poppy need to face their own demons and become the heroes that this world desperatley needs.

And they better do it fast, because Emma does not stop, she does not forgive, and every second she’s getting closer…

This story is not a good one, in my opinion. It is hard to listen to and the narration quality is poor. Plus, when the end credits are done and the music just blasts your ears, that is a real turn off to me. This one is not for me ...

I am actually quite liking this podcast - however the audio quality is poor, the editing is poor to nonexistant and some of the files are an hour or so long but only with 20 minutes of actual audio. I am not completely turned off yet but I'm really hoping ...

I did end up listening to the whole story and it was actually pretty good. The writing is not bad, decent characters and a generally fast pace. I will agree with all the other previous commenter's though that the audio is pretty awful. The into/outro music is too loud among ...

Unique story, I quite enjoyed it. Keep it up Grady. I love it when someone writes about magic, sets rules and sticks to them. I look forward to other Grace and Poppy adventures. I want to listen to them save the world...again. I do agree with other comments about the ...

Sounds like my initial impression, listening to Episode 1, was the same as other folks -- might well be a good book, but the audio quality is awful. Couldn't really tell if the reading was good. Should remaster, and/or find someone to help. Griz

Surprisingly good story. The pacing is great. The only 2 drawbacks are that the author stumbles over his words on occasion and the editing is very bad. He does have a pleasant and easy to listen to voice though

I really wanted to like this book. The premise sounded interesting. Sadly the narrators chosen tone and inflection make this painful listening. I'm going to give it one more try but expect I will drop it from my subscription.

The audio is awful. The story and even the narration actually grew on me. I know it's quirky but at least it's not deadpan. Liked it better than I thought I would at first. Glad I stuck with it.
