Underwood & Flinch

All David Flinch ever wanted was a normal life. But when you're a member of the Flinch family, normal has never been easy.

For hundreds of years, the eldest male Flinch has been servant and guardian to the vampire, Lord Underwood. While the Flinches have changed through the generations, Underwood has remained eternal. David had hoped to be spared the horror of serving his family's lord and master, but when he is summoned to the Flinch home in Spain by his dying older brother, he knows his luck has run out. After fifty years of slumber, Underwood is to be resurrected from the grave in a ritual of human sacrifice, and David, by right of succession, is to be his resurrector. But there is another Flinch, one who craves the role of guardian to the vampire: David’s sister, Lydia. It’s a job she means to have, even if it means making David’s the first blood shed in this new age of Underwood and Flinch.

Reviews

one of the greats

(5 stars)

I truly enjoyed this book from start to finish! t wrote a review in podcasts but saw it on LibriVox and wanted to say this! mike Mike is amazing with not just the characters,, plot, etc but his voice giving life to the characters! I could not stop listening! and it is one that should be a MOVIE! AND I know I'm selfish by saying this, but would love a sequel OR prequel! 10 stars! I know that most young people think all of this is a new concept, but before all of the tech, ur grandparents or great grandparents had radio programs. lol I'm a huge fan of the greats and this will be considered as one! Bennett is so talented!

The Best Ever

I wish I had more money so I personally could help Mike Bennett make more books to take my mind off in to another world/PLACE.

I can't think of the adequate words to describe this novel. It is epic. So perfectly written, draws you in from the start & takes you on a magnificent journey. You will experience every range of emotion. The ending, though it ended as it should, made me pull my car over & cry. Mike, do not ever stop writing!!

Absolutely BRILLIANT

(5 stars)

I am not a vampire story fan. The reviews are what made me decide to give it a try. I am so happy that I did because this is with out a doubt the best story I have listened to. I loved the story so much, that I couldn't put it off. The reader was nothing less than BRILLIANT. I have to try another one of his books I recommend this book highly to adults only and also do not recommend it to people who have an aversion to swearing . well done Mike Bennett. Just brilliant

(5 stars)

Mike is a fantastic author and performer. His stories are brilliant and with him reading them it brings them to life. I will warn you his books are addictive and the cliff hanger is just... well listen and find out! I also love the language he uses "huzzah" and the fact he enunciates the words so beautifully too! Thank you Mike

Great story!

(3.5 stars)

It's a great story with intriguing events and a wonderful vampire. The narrative is slightly over dramatic for my taste but the story and music make up for it. The reason for the missing star and a half is because of the ending. I found myself skipping ahead and rolling my eyes at some of the choices. Seeing that it took 3+ years to publish the whole thing, I'm just glad that I found it after the story had been completed.
