Another Good One

(5 stars)

A lovely listen just like the 1st book. Betty is smarter & more determined to work and succeed than other girls her age. While she encounters a few obstacles because some feel she is too young she doesn't give up. She wants to help her parents who are having trouble paying the mortgage. She wants to succeed for them but also for herself.

Fun and wholesome

Maybe too wholesome? but it is very much a story of its time. Betty is so good and so loved by everyone I feared there would be no conflict! But there are definitely obstacles for our plucky heroine to overcome. Contained some nice character driven humour. It ended a little suddenly for me. It is clearly and animatedly read.

Well done!

Very well read! It is an old fashioned book but quite interesting! Just as I think it’s getting too precious, the author redeems herself! A very pleasant read.

very enjoyable

Courage meets challenge. Modestly. Very wet.
