Descriptive, glitteeing jewels and ballrooms and dens of criminals entertaining depiction of Paris, lots of adventures, romance and disguises . this was published is a a newspaper series so plenty to keep the reader waiting for the next instalment. Excellent reading, measured and clear. Merci!

A bit hard to get into, but interesting after doing so. I will be better prepared for the next volume. Thankful that the reader can so easily handle the French terms.
