So charming!

(5 stars)

The "short stories" are actually more like chapters in a novel. I've been enjoying this author very much as Simon Evers has done a great job in reading a few books of his lately, and I'm grateful for David Wales' marvelous reading of this entertaining work. At times I found myself laughing out loud!

Good old good humoured scoundrel Aristide Pujol.

Very good feeling stories of a roustabout Frenchman who never lets life get him down. I enjoyed these tales immensely. Very well read by the ever expert David Wales. Top notch.

The Joyous Adventure of reading Aristide

(5 stars)

Witty and touching. This is the only 5 star I have ever used. i enjoy William John Locke enormously. Aristide is a simple and complex soul: his adventures are told with smiling irony and sharp satire reminiscent of P.G. Wodehouse but from a very different perspective. Many thanks to the very good reader.

Wonderful
