American Armed Forces Radio No 29 Rocketing Rhythms We counted them down.   The first rock countdown show was Rocketing Rhythms, usually hosted by Jack Brown.   Jack Brown was a long time AFRS announcer, with a history going back to WWII.   By 1961 he was counting down the greatest hits on Rocketing Rhythms.
