The Isle Of Man Celebrates VE Day

Three unique radio productions created by Manx National Heritage and Labyrinth History in Action Players. Using the Manx Newspapers as source material the three programmes focus on how VE Day was marked and celebrated on the Island in May 1945. Thursday, May 7th, 2020 - 23 minutes The war years made an enormous impact on the Isle of Man – internment camps, three airfields, top secret radar stations, gunnery and pilot schools, rationing in our homes and so much more.
