Not dated

In my review below when I said "historical piece" I meant it being set in the 1930s, pre WW2. Sorry that was not clear. The production is in no way dated and would stand up well today - rather better than most current drama. Yes, some radio drama has dated but not this one. I would add that many of the dated plays also have their own charm and impact. Not all that is newer is better. Thank you Radioannouncer. I check your site most days to see what treats have arrived. I usually review only the very best, of which this was one. Lohmann's (Bob Peck) dry summary of Hitler is, alone, probably worth the listen.

Well worth a listen.

Thank you very much! Sadly Saturday-Night Theatre production ended in the 1990's. Recently they have cut back on the number of Radio Drama productions. I agree that some of the SNT are beyond their freshness date but still deserve an airing. Radio Drama is a rarity these days.
