(4.5 stars; 1 reviews)

Frank Muir Goes Into... Radio comedy series starring former BBC head of comedy Frank Muir , and featuring Alfred Marks . Each week Frank Muir picks a topic and investigates the humour of the subject with the help of Alfred Marks. Episode Guide :  Frank Muir Goes Into The comedy team of Frank Muir and Denis Norden began their radio careers in the late 1940s as scriptwriters on the legendary sketch series Take It From Here starring Jimmy Edwards, which became the BBC's top-rated comedy show and ran for more than ten years. They also wrote other tv and radio comedy series, both individually and jointly, during the 1950s and 1960s, before eventually changing careers from writing to performing, migrating to radio and television panel games, where, amongst other shows in which they appeared, they created and starred in My Word and My Music , both of which ran for decades. Frank Muir Goes Into... was a long running solo success for Frank Muir on radio. The show became popular again in re-runs on BBC Radio 7 in its early days, but has not now been repeated in a very long time. It must be at least fifteen years since it was last heard on that station. These recordings are a more complete set of editions from Series 2, as aired on BBC Radio 7, but I recorded these from DAB digital radio so they are only recorded at 80 kbps. These mp3 files are in a NON-STANDARD mpeg format : You may have to download a file in order to play it.

This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
