Read by Kristine Bekere

(3.4 stars; 21 reviews)

Telling the history of geographical discoveries, "Book of Discovery" is a record of splendid endurance, of hardships bravely borne, of silent toil, of courage and resolution unequalled in the annals of mankind, of self-sacrifice unrivalled and faithful lives laid ungrudgingly down. Of the many who went forth, the few only attained. It is of these few that this book tells. (From the Preface of the book). (16 hr 29 min)

cannot understand narrator

(0.5 stars)

I had to concentrate so hard to understand the narrator that I lost comprehension of the story. Every couple sentences there was a word I could not understand but would have to guess using context clues. By the that part she far into the next sentence. I gave up after the first chapter.

The reader is fine

I don’t know why everyone is complaining. The reader’s accent it totally fine and understandable. Thanks for volunteering, appreciate your work. I also listened to a few of the others this reader does, all good.

Good stories, but the narrator is a little hard to understand.

This book is great, and the accent of the reader gives it an interesting feel, but she is a little hard to understand especially on some words.
