as usual a great collection reading of spooky tales
mildly entertaining

I enjoy listening to works from this era, with the poetic & romantic use of the English language. these particular stories were entertaining, however not the writers best examples of their works. great to fall asleep to.

stories were easy to follow and well read. love when the readers do impressions.
Good selection

The majority of these stories were new to this reader. Indeed , there's even a E. A. Poe story that's not The Masque of the Red Death or The Cask of Almontillado. I especially liked the Robert Louis Stevenson Story and Guy de Maupassant... The writing was beautiful to hear. All the readers did good jobs, some with changes in voice and others just straight on and clearly. Only occasionally , the electronic equipment interrupted the quality.
that last story is...

strangely heartbreaking, or heartbreakingly strange. one of those. most were great Readers, some had sound quality issues.. and most of the stories were incredible, others were just confusing, dry & rambling. compilation is put together well, for the most part. I now understand why there are few authors of the past that are well-known.
👍🏽
