Reviews
Wonderful reading! BUT!
Carly Corday
"Jack and His Magic Aids" is another upside-down fairy tale, where what seems to me to be the Bad Guy wins the day by hook and crook instead of by his wits, honesty, goodness, and by EARNING it many times over. This fella doesn't earn a thing. A girl who doesn't want to marry an unappealing stranger is equated in this story to a bully who steals his mother's cows. A Five Star book of wonder tales, except for this one Jack.
Good reading, interesting folk tales.

Thank you Sean Michael Hogan for this reading of Canadian Wonder Tales. It was clear, well paced and very enjoyable to listen to. And the folktales themselves were very interesting. Some fascinating explanations of how certain animals came to be.
