Reviews

A FUN ROMANTIC WHODUNNIT

(4.5 stars)

Burrows is not Sam Spade nor Phillip Marlowe nor Hercule Poirot, but he is a pleasant, hardworking detective who always "gets his girl." Kilmer is always easy on the ears.

this is a very typical book of the era. they are long and wordy. they aren't for everyone, but for some reason I devour these things.

Narrator did his i sual great job. Story just barely kept my interest to the end.

A reader one has to get used to.

A good mystery. Every clue seems obvious. I did guess who it was but not because I had information as to why they did it. This is part of my yearly mystery read.

A good relaxing read

Not a complex story, however, it has a few u expected twists. The reader's voice is clear and well recorded.

A Love story disguised as a Murder Mystery

(3.5 stars)

It was hard to finish this one with all the references to women as brainless, whimpering little ones. The actual murder mystery was well constructed and interesting but over shadowed by the Detective's love interest. I do enjoy this reader.

Twists, Turns & Murmurs

(5 stars)

A good whodunit with the detective falling for the girl & clouding his judgement. all in Detective Stone uncovers secrets & reveals much. "He's like a freaky wizard!" the guilty reply...
