A fairy-tale-come-true story

(5 stars)

I am 58 years old. I bought a copy of this book, with the Tasha Tudor illustrations, when I was nine. I still read it several times a year. This is the first audio version I've heard, and it does this wonderful story justice. I also found many more of Burnett's books on Librivox, some written for adults, and she never disappoints. Do try A Little Princess. You won't regret it.

Outstanding!

(5 stars)

I have listened to several of Ms Klett's readings, and, of them, I believe, this is the finest I have heard. Her characterization is impeccable, and her pace just right. The story made me smile, laugh, cry, and made me think of my own sweet little sister, now gone 23 years. Thank you very much, Ms. Klett! A standing ovation to you!!!

Beautiful

(5 stars)

I love this book and felt inclined to listen to it recently. I must say, the narration is absolutely beautiful. Perfect for the story. The narrators soft voice flows beautifully over the text and really brought the story to life for me. Thank you so much, it has been an absolute joy listening to it.

A Little Princesd

Elizabeth Klett is my favorite narrator. I listen to everything she records. So I happened upon this title. I'd only ever seen the Shirley Temple movie version, so I wasn't surprised that there was variation ... turns out I like the actual book just as well.
