I had to stop after a couple chapters. I found as another user pointed out that this was just drenched in similes, often a little oddly chosen. The story was kind of hard to follow as it jumps timelines. finally, I don't mind swearing in moments where that makes sense but f bombs all over the place for emphasis is just lazy in my opinion. finally, the borderline racism was the kicker for me. can't remember what it was but I grimaced and just turned it off. I wanted to like it as the author is Canadian and has obviously out tremendous effort in. the production value is high. the concept is intriguing. unfortunately I couldn't get into it myself.

I'm enjoying the story, James. Thanks! One question: Why do you have the main character through out, 'wetback' and 'flamer'? He dosen't seem racist or homophobic. Or maybe he is... Probably more to be revealed as I listen on. Also, you have a really good reading voice. Bravo!

New listener here and up to episode 6, I think it is a great book so far. Luckily I found it today, now I can listen to the whole book right away (sorry for those suckers that had to wait, jk). I know good and bad comments are needed (and ...

Wow. this is awesome. I've been looking for some half decent zombie related audiobooks and I found something far better: "The Zombie chronicles: Escape". It has been a really well balanced listen so far (I'm about half way through). Perhaps the most impressive quality is how the author manages to ...

team godlike

I honestly don't know where to begin with this book. Filled with many plot holes, confusing and inadequate scene descriptions, terrible character interactions, even worse voice acting, racist and sexist jokes, and even an ending worthy of the prestigious "Stephen King" award. Coupled with the contemptible and incredibly pointless romance plot, has left me feeling less than satisfied with this book. If you have the slightest inclination to waste your time, I could suggest 1000 other activities to take this book's place. The only real credit I can give to this author is that he wrote a book, and not only wasted my time but his own recording this terrible, sad, and spectacularly awful book. If it were within my power I would give this book less than half the star. To the author specifically one note of advice, get someone else to do the oration of your novels.

just plain bad.

I'm on ep 7 and stopping here for a while. Is this supposed to be a parody? It's so bad it's laughable but not really funny at all! The ridiculous similes seem to make fun of the old noire detective stories but not comedically and the storyline jumps around so much it doesn't even have a plot. Each chapter is a completely separate anecdote that never develops into anything. One star for recording quality. The story is in about the same place at the end as it was in the beginning with even more immature vulgarities.

where can I find the rest of the audio book?

Hey everyone’s hating maybe that’s why I can’t find the rest but to be honest I loved it (I’m a black person for all the people calling me a white racist) and I noticed some things about the Mexican stuff but I mean other than that strange thing the book was pretty enjoyable and I want to hear the rest. It’s as if I watch a movie while listening
