Writing Wrongly

Gelesen von Thomas Corfield

(4,167 Sterne; 9 Bewertungen)

When the worst writer in history self-publishes his books, the world of literature is decimated overnight. Illiteracy becomes something to aspire to and book burnings become rife. The publishing industry is left hemorrhaging credibility and verges on collapse. But its recovery not a matter of removing said books, or even destroying them, the same must be done to the mind responsible.

Thomas may be the worst writer to have ever lived, but if he’s not careful, he won’t be doing much of that, either.

Written with little regard for spelling, punctuation or even words, this Sortabiography is the story of one writer against the entire publishing industry. There’s lots of swearing and temper tantrums, as well as a brand new psychiatric illness. There’s also an excellent café scene, which although short, is worth mentioning.

What a great book. Odd that episode 4 was missing, but I enjoyed this audio book so much, I am now going to download all his stuff. Well worth a read (or a listen). One thing did annoy me while I listened to the book while driving to work was ...

I'm 21 chapters thru this story and Im enjoying these misadventures featuring Thomas so far. I get a strange satisfaction when Thomas banters using his psychotic wit. Im upset that Thomas is more so the cause of his problems not just his book. looking forward to see how his trail turns out and if a particular person forgives his behaviour. edit. after sitting thru the rest of Thomas tale I realized he's not suffering from misunderstandings. what people in the story have been saying about it is pretty spot on.

An hysterical romp through the eyes, thoughts and words of the world's worst writer! There are some extremely funny bits, as well as a few disgusting portions... I wish the episodes/chapters were a bit longer, but an entertaining book for sure. :-)

A dark comedy. While the author is definitely talented, I didn't enjoy his obsession with vivid bodily functions. I like his Velvet Paws series immensely

Laughed out loud at the cow in the Balkans mountains part! Very promising storyline! 4/5 stars!
