As far as anyone has been able to establish, Will Clemens was NOT related to Sam Clemens (Mark Twain), though they did become acquaintances. The 200-page biography Will Clemens wrote and published himself may have been the earliest full-length study of MT. It was published July 1,1892 as "No. 1" in a paperback series called "The Pacific Library," price 25¢, and did well enough to be republished in 1894 by a publisher in Chicago. Throughout the book Clemens relies mainly on other writers' previously published work. (summary by John Greenman) (4 hr 32 min)

Another stunning recording from John Greenman

(5 Sterne)

This is excellent. John Greenman IS the voice of Mark Twain. I can no longer read any Twain without hearing it in Mr Greenman's voice now - which, I'd say, is a triumph. Full of interesting titbits about Twain, his life, and his writings, this is essential listening for any MT fan. Thank you Mr Greenman for your dedication and diligence in recording all and every Twain you can find, you are hugely appreciated for what you do
