In this first show of the series, Host Eddie Cantor introduces Bea Wain who sings "Chattanooga Choo Choo." Recorded blow-by-blow account of the Joe Louis and Buddy Baer fight. Danny Kaye does a comedy routine. Dinah Shore sings "Blues in the Night." The movie studio wants Eddie to play a romantic lead in a picture with Merle Oberon, but insists he break the news to her himself. The Mad Russian wants to direct the picture.
