This is the first book I have tried on librevox. I really liked it a lot. The book itself is beautifully written. With eloquent sentences. The story is captivating and thrilling. The book is considered a childrens book, but I don't necessarily find that to be true. Though children are maybe more interested in a book about a dog than adults, I think the way this book is written might make it very interesting for adults too. I really loved the first two readers. The last one (chapter 7) has an heavy accent, but it still was nice to listen to her reading. They kept me company during a long drive and I thank the four readers for their efforts!

The interruption of tacky commercials is ruinous These advertisers debase the the world the book has taken you to. I suggest that the reader say that story is presented in part by the generosity of such in such company. And at the end in the readers voice, such and such company hopes you have enjoyed this book as much As blank has enjoyed bringing it to you. A touch of class goes a lot farther than the blare of a rude car horn.

Love the book, and the first and last readers. The accent was funny. It is sad though, that the last reader had to change her natural voice, for a different one. Unless that is her natural voice. If it is, I apologize for my previous statements. Anyway, the book was and still is, one of the best i have ever read. ✌peace out y'all.

an interesting story, read at a good pace until chapter 7. it was torturous getting through the final reader's rendition. i don't mind that it oddly strayed from the american accents of the prior chapters, but it was slow and words were overly emphasized. it totally killed the excitement and intrigue built up from chapter 1 through 6.

I enjoyed the personification of the dog. I value animal life over the plague of the human race on the earth. The story is once or twice a little exaggerated but not excessive. a standard jack london 3 or 4 separate stories woven into one. as all his books well written, thought provoking, well paced and not often a dry moment. thank you and well done to the narrators. clear quality, professional, no strange character voices and all in all nice voices.

I have read The Call of the Wild once. After twenty years I still like this book very much. And Jack London is still one of my favourite authors. The reading was great and I am really thankful for everyone who is taking time to make these books available, but the last chapter was not really my favourite pace!

This book was really interesting but I had to read the last chapter myself because Miette sounded very frustrating. Don’t get me wrong I love readingbut for books like this one to a ten years old girl I don’t really understand it without someone else reading it to me.

The call of the wild was the first book that I ever read a few thousand books ago it caused an addiction to reading,I’m 75 now and I started when I was around 10 best kind of addiction that you can help a young person get started on.
