Not as Good as The Scarlet Pimpernel

Slow starting and not nearly as compelling as the main Pimpernel stories. The narration, with falsely high voices for the women and odd inflection, diminishes the beauty and gravity of the story, which I may have enjoyed much more with a better narrator. And, by the way, there are no Nazis in the story. It's 1924 in Transylvania.

Beautiful reading and intriguing book. The different voices that Holly Rushik does for the different characters are very well done. The book captured my interest early on and the well done reading was a huge part of that.
Suspenseful story, great ending!

Another great Pimpernel story with suspense and excitement! I was able to guess the ending pathway through, but the suspense still kept me wondering at times!

The volunteer reader did an excellent job 👍. The story was a little drawn out but that is standard for the time it was written.
