My favorite books read by my favorite reader. These are the best audiobooks of the Anne series I've ever encountered, hands down. Well done!

I love this story of Anne’s awakening to womanhood. It is lovely and written with great wit and spirit. Karen Savage reads it in a way that brings characters to life. I was so excited to see that there was a version where she read the book and I listened with a glad heart!

May 2020: Listened to it again. So great and the perfect reader! Third book in the Anne of Green Gables series, just as good as the first two, and again read by the great Karin Savage! Re the previous comment - the sound in one chapter only was a little off, but nothing serious.

One of the sweetest things in this lovely book is finding the giddy rich girl Phil fall in love with a minister. It’s the happy ending that eludes Mary Crawford in Jane Austen’s Mansfield Park. Perhaps not coincidentally, Karen Savage performs both books, beautifully.

Wonderful! I really like Karen Savage's reading of the Anne books. The LM Montgomery books have always been some of my favorites, and Ms Savage does a fine job with her tones and inflections of making the story come to life.
Murdering pets?

The narrator gets 5*s, she's great. The 3.5* rating is for the story. I didn't see the point in murdering cats and dogs, it wasn't essential to the plot and just detracts from the character of the heroine.

I loved every moment of the time I spent listening to this audiobook, both thanks to the excellent reader and to the book itself. I am very fond of the whole series, and the next audiobook I am going to listen will be the third book of this series
