This is an entirely positive story as would never be told nowadays. Beautiful and uplifting. It's a kids story that even adults can enjoy. And it's most beautifully read.

Fantastic reading(even though the Yorkshire accent is a bit iffy 😊). Her English accent is impeccable as usual. Loved listening to this it was one of my favourite childhood stories
Love it!

I love how it was read as I can exactly imagine the faces of the characters and the setting. I can also picture out the exact garden in my mind and how magical it bloomed into a beautiful garden in the story. I wanted to listen to it again.
thank you so much!

I read this book when I was 8, and have always loved this tale of woe transforming into hope. I'm not crying.. you're crying. The Reader is one of my favorites.. thank you, Karen Savage, for reading this as it should be read.

A lovely story perfect for adults every bit as much as older children - lyrical, poignant, cognizant and I loved it. Earphones in, it was my bedtime companion for a week. Karen Savage reads it beautifully.
Love the book and the reader!

Karen Savage has(as always) done an amazing job narrating this book! She makes the characters come to life. I love listening to all of her different voices for each character! Thank you Ms. Savage for another wonderfully narrated book!
Finally got to this one, as an adult
