ll Principe (The Prince) is a political treatise by the Florentine writer Niccolò Machiavelli, originally called “De Principatibus” (About Principalities). It was written around 1513, but not published until 1532, five years after Machiavelli’s death. The treatise is not actually representative of his published work during his lifetime, but it is certainly the best remembered one. (Summary from Wikipedia.org)

Good read, good recording

(4 Sterne)

Books recorded by multiple readers are always a mixed bag, but this one is consistently pretty good. Seven sections are recorded by Chip, who reads thoughtfully and expressively.

A must read for anyone interested in the History of the West

Great and insightfull novel, well read

(5 Sterne)

The book is well worth its reputation and even though we are not all princes I think everyone kan learn from his advice. the history of castruccio castracani an insightfull tale on the kind of monarch he describes. Between the readers tone can differ a lot, but the style and quality is concistently great.

Different narrators make it hard

Ideally, this would have been read by one person. The drastic changes of voice and accent distract from the narrative. Narrator quality also varies. Still, it's perfectly listenable and fantastic book.

Good book well read, but terribly recorded. The bar did not keep up with the audio, so there were long periods of silence at the end, and the time was wrong

I much enjoyed the reading for this text. I also like the diversity of readers, of whom all skilled and passionate bringing this remarkable document to life.

Good book, well read

Interesting 'big picture' look at society in the 1500's. Funny how human nature hasn't changed much in 500 years.

Thug Book!!!
