James B. Blish
Honath the Pursemaker is a heretic. He doesn’t believe the stories in the Book of Laws which claims giants created his tree-dwelling race. He makes his opinion known and is banished with his infidel friends to the floor of the jungle where dangers abound. Perhaps he’ll find some truth down there. – The Thing in the Attic is one of Blish’s Pantropy tales and was first published in the July, 1954 edition of If, Worlds of Science Fiction magazine. Cute if short story

They don't believe in 'the book', and are banished for their heresy. They end up in 'hell' where the 'demons' exist. Can they survive long enough to discover the secret of the jungle floor? This is a neat story, I would have loved it to be better developed. The recordings were a little bass-heavy, I struggled with them a bit, but otherwise, its a great story. Enjoy!
Great reader. Wonderful story

This is a great story on every level. Very well written and puts a lumpy throat. Since it was read by one of my very favorite readers this is a double treat. Highly recommended.
Strange Title, but a good story...

The recording isn't bass heavy. The reader just has a deep bass voice. I enjoyed his reading very much. It was also a cute story.
