Love the narrator. Still enjoying the book.

The book is very rich and fills a gap in an area of knowledge that is really overlooked by society in general. I really like the biographical and historical information it contains, shedding light on the interior lives of great mystics and saints and trying to organize a mysticism body of knowledge. I would not say it is an easy listening, but it gets easier if you had a few mystical experiences of yourself. The narrator is also very good (she gets better as the audio progresses, to the point most narrators of commercial audiobooks I know are left far behind).

A 'joy' to listen to.

Positive Needles in a Gigantic Haystack

After 40 years meditation and achieving oneness, I suffered through this painfully long, clinical book to find a few bits of inspiration. Here in the author's style are my opinions: POSITIVES: 1) It's good to see something Christian with depth. 2) It inspired me to write, and perhaps will inspire others in many ways. NEGATIVES: A) Many times the author stated that the ultimate goal of Oneness cannot be expressed in words. I really doubt she ever experienced it herself, though I may be wrong, and what an unbelievably long book to try and explain it. B) I learned from Christianity and from Hindu Yogi's. She barely mentions the Great Mystics of India, and discounts their methods. C) There are passages that might be meditated upon for long periods of time, perhaps better in regular book format. D) She says there are many methods of Mysticism, yet is arrogant in her "opinions." My favorite parts of the book were the final chapter and Conclusion. Worth a listen if you can't find the patience for the entire book.
