Not a page turner but not a bad story. The reader has a lovely mellifluous voice and he promotes himself as a professional but this narrator is no reader. Even words of common usage were mispronounced to an astonishing degree. Also, despite the ongoing drama the inflection was exactly the same in every sentence. Barring these shortcomings the book is readable with a little patience.

Engaging story!

(5 Sterne)

Fenton’s Quest is a good story with somewhat predictable outcomes. It is a fun read. One reviewer mentioned the frequently mispronounced words and it is astonishing especially for a professional. However, his voice is very very nice making it easier to overlook. I don’t know why folks don’t look up words with an unusual spelling such as “gaol” (jail).

Great Story & Good Readers

(4,5 Sterne)

I really am enjoying Mary Elizabeth Braddon’s stories. There’s always an interesting twist and some mystery. I enjoy it more when the readers are good and they all did well with this one. I do have to say that IT’S PROSTRATE NOT PROSTATE!!! (and a few other....well, lots of other mispronunciations).

(5 Sterne)

I enjoyed this typical Braddon novel. Set in London and the English countryside during the mid-1800's this story includes love, hate, greed, true friendship and other character traits of today. Very good narrations.

(3,5 Sterne)

By modern standards, perhaps this is an overly long, meandering, story; and though I thought that of it, it was a decent, interesting tale that also gives insight into our antecedent culture.

An Intetesting Journey of lives

Despite all the Hardships they all had to endure, all was well in the end..a very good listen

Amazing story
