This is a book I’ve started many times and never finished. Finally finished and glad I did. I enjoyed the reader as well as the story.

Little Women

This book is a classic for good reason. It is beautifully written with excellent characterization. The story is believable, gentle, warm, soothing and positive, like a cup of hot cocoa on a cold winter's day. The reader did an excellent job. Highly recommended.

wonderful

Incredible book. I enjoyed the reader as well. I weep like a baby over this book. No movie can ever do it justice.

Better then the films

I read this as a guy. And I did so because I had a conversation with a friend of mine about how emotion is better shown through books, rather then movies, since the translation to film tends to turn emotion into drama too often. I decided to give our theory a go and read this book (I have always hated the movie versions) and I believe it really is true. Little Women deserves respect, even from guys. The narration was very good as well.

Little Women has long been a favorite story of four girls growing into women. Listening to it again after many years, I was struck with the surprising wisdom of Louisa May Alcott and her often true to life depictions of the inner lives of little girls. The reader grew in confidence and skill over the course of the book. Her youthful voice matches well with the tone of the novel.

Enjoyable story!

I listened because the novel is on my top 100 list I am working my way through- a lovely story great for all ages. Any young boy or girl would benefit from the little doses of morals scattered throughout. We can all learn from the examples of the lives of the daughters.

Great book, reader ok.

I really like the reader's voice and pace, but her frequent mispronunciations ruined it for me. I wish Libravox would allow their proof listeners to correct readers on this point.

unfinished

I really liked this book, and the reader wasn't too bad, but the audio quality wasn't good. Sounded like she was reading in a cave. I'm rather disappointed.
