Anne of Green Gables is all grown up and married, and this is the story of her daughter “Rilla”, named for the indomitable Marilla Cuthbert of Anne’s childhood. The young Rilla will need all her strength for the dark days ahead, as her coming of age will be in the midst of World War I. Her brothers and sweetheart will go to war, and not all of them will come back. Her sisters will become nurses, but Rilla herself is too young. What can she do back home to support the war effort? LM Montgomery, in this final installment of the Anne of Green Gables books, takes us through the terror, the suspense and the sacrifices of ‘The Great War’ as told through the eyes of Rilla. Of course, as in any girl’s diary, there are also chronicled the romances of Miranda, Gertrude, Mary and Rilla herself. Loved it and not for the first time either! Wonderful story about Rilla, Anne and Gilbert's youngest daughter..it starts with her silly vain years of age 15 and goes through her years of enduring, with her family, the great war. I laughed and cried while listening and enjoyed this reading of the book with many readers, each "playing" one of the book's characters. Lovely.

The best! I was crying the whole time😢! I loved the romance. The readers were awesome!I don't agree that this kind of dramatic reading is bad. We would not have been able to hear sweet little Dog-Monday's voice, or Kenneth's beautiful strong voice hardly at all if it would have been the other way.THANK YOU TO ALL THE READERS WHO PUT TIME INTO THIS!🥰

Awesome! I didn't mind the times when other people were speaking when the narrator should. Maybe you could make one of "Emily's Quest" read by Rachel? I loved "Emily of New Moon" and "Emily Climbs."
