This is a lovely comedy about the theft of a prostitute's purse by a rich 'young man of good family. It is placed beside the theft of a silver cigarette case from the rich man's father's house by 'a poor devil', with very different repercussions. - Summary by Michele Eaton

The cast did an excellent job in their various roles. As the nephew of a dramatic writer I have always been interested in the drama. I don't agree, however, that this one struck me with any humor. In fact, it was too realistic to be humorous and the same sort of situation exists today in our courts. Equal Justice Under the Law should add the clause ("if you have the money") as witnessed by one notable crime committed in the 1990's as I remember, which seemed to be a clear case of what money and fame can do to influence a jury or pay for the best attorney's in the land. I apologize for getting off the subject somewhat but I do think the readers were all exceptional in their ability to interpret this very interesting drama. God bless you all and God bless Librivox.
