Reviews
A wonderful story.

I love this story. This story is about a young orphan girl named Anne that no one wanted but by mistake is given to Matthew and Matilda Cuthburt, who had requested a boy to help with the farm work. This is Annes story of her life. Her likes, dislikes, her hopes, dreams and disappointments. And the narrator Karen Savage did a wonderful job. I love to listen to her read. She has a real gift telling the stories, no matter what book she reads. It’s as if she herself is telling her story.
a childhood favorite

I listened to this book for the first time many years ago and it struck strikes me now like it did then. As a child you can experience Anne’s life and as an adult you can look on with a grater understanding of what happens. I’ve listened to this book with two different friends as well as several times through by myself and I never tire of it, it is comforting and nostalgic and Karen Savage’s reading personifies Anne perfectly. I can hardly imagine Anne with a voice other than hers.
Amazing!!!!

This is splendid, both the narrator and the book. I love Karen Savage's soft and feminine voice. At first I thought she read quite fast but it grew on me. This book has never failed me since I was 8, I'm 17 now and I love it all the same. Anne's view of the world was so colorful and positive and she also had a golden heart which I admire. The author had done a great job turning the life of an orphan into an exciting journey. Must-read for fiction fan.
Karen Savage is so talented!!

I am never ever disappointed with her readings and always seek out her work. Her Anne of Green Gables is no exception!!!
Superb! Can't getting enough!

Love it, love it, LOVE IT! I simply adore Karen Savage's vocal interpretation of this well-written, long-beloved book, and I find myself revisiting it almost annually. If you enjoy this version's narration (Karen's vocal acting), don't miss out on Ms. Savage's readings of the entire "Anne" collection, as well as her renditions of "A Little Princess", "The Secret Garden", "The Scarlet Pimpernel", Jane Austen novels, and more! She effectively draws you in to each scene and every single character.
Absolutely precious

This was my first time to "read" Anne at the age of 38 & I cannot believe how I've lived so long without Anne in my life. Karen Savage was spectacular & added so much depth & enjoyment to the characters. I am counting down the days until my daughter is mature enough to read (or listen to) this precious classic.
very good book, good reading voice

I found this audiobook to be a very good listen. The person reading did a very good job! I would definitely recommend. I have never heard or read the book before and I found it to be interesting. I do tend to like a faster reading so I did speed up the playback a little.
Great story. Even better narration!

Karen Savage, Karen Savage, Karen Savage. That's the main theme of most of these reviews and also mine. There is a good reason. She is absolutely fantastic! My whole family loves her readings of our favorite books. Great book that has kept me company on many long trips. (I'm a 47 yr old truck driver)
