Our Dwelling Place

Jesus wants to be our "go to." He wants for us to be close to Him. Near to Him. In the moments before the cross, as He shares with His closest friends, He petitions, "Abide in me. Dwell in me" (John 15:1-4). Our Lord does not simply want to be our "shelter in a storm." He will be just that, if and when we need Him to be. But beyond our running to Him when we are struggling, His desire, is that we would be near Him. Close to Him. That we would abide, that we would dwell, in Him. Jesus does not simply want to be our weekend getaway. He wants to be our dwelling place. Sunday morning sermon on 10/23/2016 by Jason Reeves. John 15:1-17
