87 The Suicide Club Laurence Olivier

The Suicide Club by Robert Louis Stevenson starring Laurence Olivier. A shuffle of the cards and then they were drawn out and if you draw the wrong card it you will be either the killer or the victim… What spurs a compulsive gambler to bet again and again aware always that in the end it can only bring him to ruin? That was a question Victor Harris often asked him self but could never answer until a certain fatal night when he met a man who called him self John Smith. John Smith invites him to join a high stakes club with a price tag for the supreme gamble. Each member of the Suicide Club is dealt a card. If he receives the ace of spades he will be the victim and be killed. If he receives the ace of clubs he is the person who must commit the killing. Adapted by George Lowthar from the Robert Louis Stevenson classic. May 7, 1974
