Credits: Percussion, Jordan Glenn Saxophone, Aram Shelton Voice, Nadia Oka & Melissa Fowle Ayako Kataoka (JP/US) :: Her projects range in medium from sound and performance, to sculpture and installation. Her work has been exhibited, performed, and screened nationally and internationally at places such as; Electrogals Festival, High Zero Festival, SF International Arts Festival, The Stone NYC, Tokyo International Dance Video Festival, amongst many others. Her work is a study of sound, space, perception, movement, and Japanese Mythology. Kataoka holds an MFA from Mills College and currently lives and works in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. She is originally from Tokyo and comes from a family of priests and artists.
