Delia

Read by Nuran Bayraktar

Delia (1592) is a cycle of Petrarchan love sonnets written by Renaissance poet Samuel Daniel (1562-1619). He was also a noted playwright and historian, and a close contemporary of Ben Jonson and William Shakespeare. Delia may have influenced Shakespeare’s sonnets. This project contains the first 30 sonnets from the collection "Delia". (Summary by Dr Alan Weber) (0 hr 30 min)
