Desert Island Discs

Desert Island Discs is a long-running radio show devised in the 1940s by Roy Plomley. Each week Roy interviewed a celebrity guest. The guest chose eight records of music that he would like to take along if he was cast away on a desert island. Each show theoretically consisted half of the guest talking about his life and career, and half of the guest playing his chosen records. However, some of the shows are 45 minutes long, and they generally contain more of the chosen musical pieces. Those shows which are only 30 minutes long tend to contain just brief excerpts from the eight records chosen. Good quality recordings. Includes some in Broadcast Quality at 320 Kbps.

This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
