A heart-felt and moving performance by Bob Neufeld of this American Realist classic.

Well written. Well read. The plot to me was ambiguous. This book did not leave a lasting impression on me. The writing is superb but the ending could have been more developed. Overall a very good book but I have no inclination to read it again.

Bob Neufeld's earthy tone compliments the atmosphere of suspense this story conjures. I was held intrigued throughout. Thank you so much Bob for your vast contributions to. Librivox..and for bringing this story to me.

As one of the original "jones)Jones, it is hard to imagine Ms Wharton's clear understanding of the common folk in the northeast.

magnificent prose

The loaded descriptive sentences captures scenes, moods and actions, yet flow evenly. A love story welled paced.

Terrific

Another great reading by Mr. Neufeld. He does justice to Wharton's emotion-soaked imagery. Recommended
