I too have had the download take many hours, and produce only an invalid zip file that I cannot repair. I suspect that actually a great many people have experienced this, and have given up without going through all of the steps necessary to register and then be finally returned to this site so as to be able to actually write the complaint. I have tried this download, once, twice and three times. I am pretty much at the point of no longer caring to try again, and not caring enough, any longer, to download the many, many individual MP3 files. I urge the fixing of the problem, by either checking the integrity of the source file, or breaking it down into a couple of CD sized (600 MB ) files.

It's a great series...but I do think it should be broken down into various categories for those of us who wish to get the entire directory...but include a link index of the pages as you would with Lux Radio Theater... I mean...you can have one for the Gulf Screen Guild Theater...another for the Lady Ester Screen Guild Theater...another for the Camel Screen Guild Theater...and finally one for the final Screen Guild Theater shows... I also don't think that this 3.79 GB download would do any good for those on dial-up...as it took me 14 hours to get it with DSL... It's worth the effort to get...but for those on dial-up...I'll recommend link by link...

047 Ballerina, Slightly with Accent is actually Dragonwyck. EDIT: I must put an addendum to this comment. I downloaded this set via the "download whole directory" option. When I opened the zip, a great deal of them had the same filesize. It turns out those particular ones play as "Dragonwyck" although the filename is otherwise. The same thing is happening to me on the Screen Director's Playhouse "Whole Directory" option. EDIT #2: I just heard one of the episodes of "Flesh and Fantasy" and the sound was absolutely wonderful.

So far the files I've downloaded have worked fine. I didn't try to the whole file option because of the other reviews. So, Thanks to Jilly9 for telling who exactly is in each episode. I can avoid the variety shows, which I know I won't like, download my Vincent Price, Basil Rathbone, William Bendix, Irene Dunne, Claudette Colbert, Cary Grant, etc. Love the list!

I downloaded the "whole directory" option last year and also found, and recently found about 50 of the episodes between 223 and 371 contained Dragonwyck despite separate file names. When I went back to a few of the individual downloads, they were correct. I haven't tried Screen Director's Playhouse yet.

I attempted to download the series and it took over 20 hours and then file failed to unzip. Therefore, I have no access to it and have to download it again. Please consider smaller packets for downloading; say, 50meg sizes. That size would be manageable on slow broadband.

Great quality! You must have original vertical discs or else lateral discs in mint shape. The verticals don't have any surface noise, of course. I loved hearing Laura and Double Indemnity with most of the original movie cast.
