Chuck Mitchell thought he had everything –a high powered job, a beautiful girlfriend, an exclusive condo on the Toronto waterfront, but the death of his long-lost father plunges him in to a world he never knew existed. The world of White Trash Land.

After inheriting a trailer park, Chuck’s normally staid life is suddenly filled with an ex-wrestler lawyer, an obsessed Reverend who covets the land the trailer park sits on, a band of Promised Ones who set out to appropriate the park by any means necessary, a corrupt mayor, an old alcoholic and two pretty lesbians who are not exactly as they seem, and a blue haired punk film student who can create miracle inventions out of trash. Not to mention a motorcycle gang, and the mother of a rap wunderkind.

Stir in a bit of conspiracy, a bit of slapstick and a whole lot of Japanese Actuaries, and you have White Trash Land, written by Andrew Beatty and performed by Sean McGaughey. Find out more at whitetrashland.wordpress.com . This novel contains some adult language, adult situations and cartoon violence, so get over it.

Nope definitely felt finished and I really enjoyed it. One always has to wonder what happens to retired pro wrestlers. Never would have though there could have been such an adventure in a mobile home park. Flashes of Jerry Springer come to mind, this story definitely had all the makings ...

Thanks Evo for fixing that, I was just about to email you! Thanks also Chris for the kind words, this is my first novel, Podiobook or other, and I felt it to be sort of rough. I had fun writing it, though, and I like to think that fun came ...

As someone on a very low income I am very grateful to PodioBooks for giving me access to such great content, but on this occasion I have to say I would rather have read it from the page, the narrators voice was without doubt one of the most irritating and ...

Thanks sueper for your support. I am happy every time somebody cares enough about Andrew's story to comment upon it. I recorded the book as a gift because I believed in the story Andrew had written. As a Librivox volunteer, I have come to delight in the chorus of voices ...

Thanks for White Trash Land. I really enjoyed it. And as for criticism of the narration, I grew to love the extra character that Sean brought to the narrative. Gave it a do-it-yourself punk quality that could not have been more appropriate to the story. You can keep acting for ...

Sean does have a Canadian accent, but as the Canadian accent is pretty flat it would not really be picked up by most Americans. I am glad that people enjoyed the book, and Sean's reading of it. I just signed up for NaNoWriMo, so maybe I will have another one ...

To iPodSlaaf I dont think the voice is that bad. Have heard much worse. I guess you don't subscribe to librivox? some of those voices make your ears bleed. Can't comment on the story yet as I'm just starting on it but felt a need to defend the narrator.

One bad review and instantly you start to wallow? Don't let it happen... No, no, no... My ears have never bled listening to this reader. He's done a great job. His podcasts are great too! (Does he have a Canadian accent?)
