This is one of very few stories that I had to stop listening to, not because it was bad, but because it really struck a nerve. It was too good, and I eventually had to go back and finish it. I've been a fan of horror almost my entire life, and this is the first time in a long time that I came across a book that I felt was truly effective. Bravo.

Great!

A great book! I loved it. Scared the hell out of me in places and you wont look at an ice cream truck the same way again. This is written by someone who has had experience of mental illness and the only book j can think of that actually deals with it head on and that is what makes it even scarier. Although I can see the point of some people about the end it just means you have to use your imagination a bit more. Great quote from neighbour dick about sane and insane around episode 16! Will definitely be looking for more by Paul elard Cooley. have listened to the other on librivox (one of which is referenced!) Even though some people don't like the end in this type of story is the end ever really the end?!

Hooked from the beginning

This story was phenomenal! It was like a mini addiction that kept me wanting more. I give 4 stars b/c as we are informed "no happy endings", I thought it meant good guys dies or some such thing. Nope, as much as I loved this story, I hated the ending. So much left hanging and unexplained.

I had to say more about this book. If you do not like scary books, do not listen to this. I loved it though. Man when the voice would talk to Trey. Man, it scared me so badly. Can't really describe it well. And that introduction song. Man, I will never, ever go near an Ice cream truck again. The introduction song is, you know, The Entertai er by some famous musician. Then, it takes a scary twist. Also, if you do not like swear words, don't liste.

As Paul Elard Cooley and Shadow Publications say there are no happy endings. The story Closet Treats is one of those that will hit people to the core. The struggle of the father and the impact it has on his family are quite down to earth and alone enough to ...

Just finished this book a few days ago. Loved it. I actually found the opening half much more frightening than the second half- the struggle within the main characters mind is truly disturbing especially in the way he sometimes acts towards his loved ones. The end left me wanting more ...
