Children of Rhatlan

(4,217 Sterne; 224 Bewertungen)

Garum and Vayin are "duals," twins trapped in each other's minds and bodies, sharing one life. When a deranged wizard hunts them, whom can they turn to? Their mentor? The city guard Vayin loves? The Wizards' Guild? In a world that hates duals, anyone could be their enemy, and one misstep could get them killed.

"Children of Rhatlan is a unique romp through an original world that not only entertained me, but made me think as well. I can think of no higher praise for a fantasy novel."
-Steve Lazarowitz, author of Alaric Swifthand

"There were enough twists and turns to keep me riveted until the last lines. Children of Rhatlan is a winner!" -Jonathan Lambert, Millennium Science Fiction and Fantasy

"Magic, treachery, valor, prejudice-Fesmire builds a world sword and sorcery fans will welcome and adventure fans will want to explore fully."
-Lisa DuMond, SF Site and MEviews

TERRIFIC story. I love the idea of duals. Initially, I thought it was a case of just two personalities in one body (you know, like Eve or Sybil), so it came as a very pleasant surprise when it was two personalities AND two bodies. I also enjoyed the build-up to ...

interesting plot and concept but poorly delivered. character development was nonexistent making if difficult to empathize with the characters. read by the author in one voice making it difficult to hear transitions btwn characters. author read as if on speed.

The chapter 10 link is only 28 seconds long and when I look ahead the chapter 18 link is only 13 secs long. Please help me not to miss a sentence of this wonderful story and check out those chapters.

"Johnathan Fesmire's fantasy work contains some wonderful writing and an adequate narration style. Unfortunately, it is largely lost behind the quality of the audio file itself." Fun little story

An introduction to a world with magic, God's, and prejudice that engages. The stakes are personal, and the characters and world are engaging. If magical fantasy stories are your thing, this is a good choice
