Daren Lane, a World War I veteran, returns from the battlefields of Europe to the American Midwest. In Middletown USA, he encounters a postwar Jazz Age society whose revelers are tired of hearing about the war. what the heck

OK. it's a great early look at PTSD but full of unlikable characters. Anyone you sorta like dies or turns out to be preachy. The bad guys win and the ending will offend your sense of justice
