Thus starts a chain of the most intriguing events shrouded in mystery, frustration, and at times danger, one after another. Unfortunately, when he tries to report it and tell his best friend, he has not one shred of proof for anything, leading all to think he is having delusions. This is a fun story, but the hero is a bit of a dope. I can see why he did not succeed as a lawyer. I wish readers would work a little harder at mastering pronunciation, but I don’t like to complain because I really appreciate their contribution!

Reads like a dime novel. Reader mispronounced many word, including Thames, draught, and Emile, which she read as Ee-mile! I cringed every time she said the name.
