Some of the readers are awful, the woman who puts on a fake Russian accent for the dialogue makes me cringe!

(2 Sterne)

most of it is tollerable but holy shit the girl who did 19 and 20 is so incredibly horrible I have never been angry and cringing from someone's voice as this girl who wasnt even sure if the accent should be french swedish or russian. it was an abomination in the middle of a nice book and should be re-recorded.

regarding the reader sesame (chapter 19&20)

(0,5 Sterne)

she was horrible although she did read well but the pretentious Russian accent made me skip those 2 chapter and I had to read them on wattpad because I just could not bear her

wow. what disrespect.

(0,5 Sterne)

the reader who uses the fake accent really need to think about what shes is doing. I listen while working and seriously I kid you not.... this made me sick in my throat and gave me super anxiety... I could not work and have this playing. It's really a shame because even when Tolstoy talks about stressful bad stuff it's always so beautifully presented and obviously made with love. I really have no idea what her reasoning was for not just reading it straight(which would have been easier), and instead destroying the russian voice, the text, and the meaning of this masterpiece critique of the evils in that time and place. it seemed almost cruel to me....

as many others have said, chapters 19 and 20 urgently need to be redone.

Chapters 19 & 20. Yikes!

I'm incredibly grateful for the volunteers who make it possible for me to listen to these books. I try not to complain knowing they are donating their time and talents for the benefit of others. That said, the lady who uses the fake Russian accents was unbearable to listen to. It wouldn't have been so bad if she had only made them consistent, but the fake accents and intonations for each character she read changed with every line! It was a horrible mess. Interestingly, she had one of the best reading voices of all when she was not trying to force out a fake accent. If only she had used her own lovely real voice to read, this would have been a five star review.

Good continuation of story

A fantastic effort by all the readers who volunteer their own time to read for those of us who really appreciate it. When I'm poorly I can always escape into fantasy land listening about Anna Karenina. Thank you all.

wow the reader of chapter 19&20!

Is it a joke? Those chapters really should be redone! The awful Russian accent amd tone of voice the reader uses! It's impossible to listen to.
