The white man did not bring civilization. It was already here. Wonderful book bringing perspective of truth. I highly recommend it. Very well read.

Great history lesson. And to know that during this era we too (The White Man) are fighting a Civil War to end "slavery" and yet massacre Indians at the same time. I lower my head in shame. great reading, good job.

This book stands out for its insight and honesty in recounting the lives of some famous native Americans. The stories are at times entertaining at times and saddening in their authentic account of tragic and courageous figures. An important lesson to be learned from them is how one can suffer defeat with dignity. Highly recommended.

From what was mentioned about 15 different chiefs, most of them had high principles. Few of them took advantage of the white settlers & almost none took material gain over the fact of being willing to share the land. Too many whites were only interested in taking more than what was fair or deserved & treated many indians like second class people. Thank for the narrator...you made it all so easy to listen to.

the was a real eye opener for me. It gives a true account of how the native Americans were treated and badly swindled out of their homeland. It is full of personal details of the chiefs' lives demystifing and humanizing these legendary men. very enjoyable. and well read, too. thank you so much reader! a great job well done.

I expect my BiPOCs to be welcoming of immigrants. Imagine my disappointment to find that Native Americas actually fought against undocumented immigration. Also we need to know how these BIPOC warriors supported 2SLGBTTQTIA+- persons. I expect more diversity in assigned gender roles amongst Native Americans. The fact that Women were not more prominently represented in upper leadership of first nations means this story is problematic. The Native Americans followed a life-style now known by us white liberal intellectual coastal elite to oppress the females and be intollerant of undocumented immigrants. In order to promoting Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity, you consume products produced by the worlds richest white liberal billionaires, who are down with fighting injustice and inequality. (think jeff bezos)
