Response from Kristine

Thank you for fabulous gift of appreciation. Your words brought me to happy tears. Yes, I'm a Christian and it is what comes first in my life. I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the reading. I love reading and listening to Grace Livingston Hill, she was and is, even after her death, such an inspiration for me. When I read her books, I feel uplifted and encouraged to do better and be closer to my Lord Jesus. Thank you so much for taking your valuable time to share with me your enjoyment of the book. It's a huge blessing to me, much more than I could ever say! God bless you abundantly, Angel (JaneAusten7)

At first I pictured this as an episode of Little House and it was ok. But then I realized it's actually much more. If you imagine it as a Roy Rogers/Dale Evans/George "Gabby" Hayes movie it becomes absolutely epic and wonderful

A story of where love finds a way.

This is a wonderful story of a young lady teacher who travels to Az. on her first teaching assignment. Lots of things can happen when you least expect it. From a cranky old man to a self centered minister to a young man who falls in love with her.

Thank You Kristine

God bless you, Kristine for your very warm and sincere reading of this excellent novel. It is another example, to me, of the author's wonderful Christian works. I have listened to almost all of them and this was, possibly, not one of my favorite works of the author, but your reading of it was so good and sincere and so filled with the warmth of what I feel to be your Christian beliefs that It may be my favorite. But I can't remember all of the ones I have read having just listened to this one. I know that God (Christ) will bless you for having read this work with so much heartfelt warmth and tenderness that no one would be surprised to know how good a person you must be and what you have done and are doing as a Christian. I, of course, have no knowledge of you personally but can imagine how much your beliefs about our Lord must express themselves in your life. However, I feel the same about all who read for Librivox, no matter what their beliefs or religion may be. Because you all give of yourselves so much of your time and efforts for the benefit of so many other, like myself, who only have to listen. And, that is the definition of a God-fearing person, no matter how he or she translates their religion or how it expresses itself by its definition. And, so I thank you Kristine for your reading of this very good and interesting novel which will be heard by many others, I am sure, with as much pleasure as it gave me. God bless you again Kristine and all readers who give so unselfishly of themselves for the benefit of others.

usually, although I like Grace Livingston Hill plots, the repetitiveness of her writing style bugs me. but this book was the best written thing I've ever read by her. it wasn't repetitive. the characters were brilliantly sketched, it was super interesting and of course satisfyingly romantic and happy ending. hazah. all of the recordings were great quality, except for one chapter, which was difficult to understand. the main reader didn't read with the inflection that I would have and was a little too energetic for me but all in all she was really great. very southern! in Arizona... I don't know....

Hill again winds you around Christian and Unchristia lifestyles without casting judgement. The characters are well developed as is the main plot. I say main plot because Hill always takes you on unexpected turns.

sweet story

I enjoyed this story. Margaret doesn't wait for others to do what needs to be done, she sees her duty and does it joyfully. Great mix of dangerous situations, mystery and friendship. Not to mention Arizona sunrises!
