Far, far in the future the Earth is still spinning around the Sun, on the edge of the galaxy, dozing in obscurity, forgotten by it's trillions of progeny and completely irrelevant. But this doesn't matter to the few millions who still live there in simplicity and quiet happiness. But then interstellar politics dictates that they must all leave Earth because ... well, listen to the story as told by the great Poul Anderson as he explores what the Earth means to humans and to one man in particular. So sad I had to eat chocolate afterwards...

Dark of course. Anyways, here we read about the end of the Earth as we know it. Oh, it's not destroyed, it's just that most people no longer care about it, except for a tiny group. And, that tiny group is being forcibly relocated. This is the tale of that evacuation. Phil did an excellent job reading, but the story was too sad for me.

Story is a good listen and is well very well read - Thanks Phil!

Kind of a sad scenario. But well done. thank you Phil for reading so well

Just kind of rambles

(2 Sterne)

The 4th chapter is just a super long description of pretty grass and stars with a depressing end without any twist or substance. The premise is pretty stupid and neo-humans have magic super man powers and nobody has human motivations. Narrator is good of course.

A touching tale, well realised

This is one of those stories which I find is well written, well read and has good characters and so on, but I still didn’t feel a lot of love for it. It’s a sad story. Worth a listen
