Thanks for the story Mark, I hope you'll read more Robert E. Howard stories. They are great to listen to. Hope you'll do some Solomon Kane stories or Bran Mak Morn, or King Kull. Great audio!!!!!

One of the best Conan tales

Heroic swords and a little sorcery

I've "read" a few of the Conan tales on Librivox but this one is the most satisfying so far. maybe I'm a little troubled by what appears to be a bit of casual racism towards Egyptians but, well, they're ancient Egyptians, so... Well... it works as a story. it's well plotted and has enough mix of predictable tropes of the genre with some nice innovative elements to have kept me engaged all the way through. Superbly read by Mark Nelson.

Great story, made even better by Mr. Nelson

This was my first Conan book, and it certainly won’t be my last. The story is fun, descriptive, and paints a vivid tale of adventure that will captivate your imagination for hours. Mark Nelson is a fantastic narrator. I could listen to this guy read the phone book. I no longer search authors, I just search Mark Nelson. He has a sci-fi collection on LibriVox that will probably keep me busy for a few years!

this was my first conan book and it was excellent, again very well read by mark nelson. i looked up the book after i finished, as i had the feeling alot had already happened prior and it turns out to be one of the later conan stories written. i would start from the first story and go from there if i was getting into conan

A rip-roaring Conan the Barbarian story of blood, magic, and lusty busty wenches. You get the idea. This action-packed tale is feelingly narrated by good old Mark Nelson who can always be relied upon to put over this sort of action. Thank you, Mark! TheBookworm (Manchester, UK)
