I liked the story but the reading was very distracting, odd pauses and a staccato cadence was hard to get over .

At this point Ive read all of the books that I could find (Project Gutenberg ) and listened to the audios. While there is no better reader anywhere for Penny than Cheryl Adam , I must give credit to M. Pierard for his obvious love of the material and his enthusiasm. I found myself really loving his characters and even the odd pauses. I now look forward to listening to him reading Flash Evans, the only Wirt I havent heard yet
Wonderful

Yet more Penny Parker, what's not to love? So thankful to the reader and editor(s) for doing this book. There are many more Penny Parkers that I hope might be done for Librivox one day.

I like the reader's accents but could not stand the staccato way he talked. He sounded like Captain Kirk. He...talked...like...this... Argghhhh please re-record this book.
