Stirling Deane has sold the Little Anna Gold Mine which he discovered in South Africa. The sale has made him a rich man and the head of the company to which he sold the mine. A former acquaintance from his days in South Africa has shown up and claims that he has the original deed to the mine and that he is in fact the owner of the mine. Shortly after a meeting with Deane, the man is found murdered and the deed he claims to have had is missing. Another man which Deane hired to negotiate the return of the deed to Deane is accused of the murder, tried, and sentenced to death. What has become of the lost deed? excellent story line

really good story, well read. wish the ending had been less abrupt.

The Golen Web

(4,5 Sterne)

Sweet story if somewhat predictable. Great job by the reader.

Unkind criticism

(4 Sterne)

I'm enjoying this book. Oppenheim's plots are original and enjoyable. The reading is clear & acceptable. I know I couldn't do the job half as well. Unhelpful & unkind comments like the above could put people off and that would be a shame. However, I do wish readers would check the pronuncation of place names

Good easy listening !

(5 Sterne)

Thank you Mr Kilmer for taking the time to read this for me and other very grateful listeners....for free....! as for the comment from a previous reviewer...ignore it...I was brought up with the maxim..."if you can't say anything nice..say nothing" thanks again

The Reader is very unskilled at reading

(1 Sterne)

This reader has NO CLUE how to read properly. Very very poor!

(4 Sterne)

Nice story... but, he is one of my top 3 readerrs!

RICHES ARE NOT ALWAYS GOLD

(5 Sterne)

A slow developing story which holds your interest. Oppenheim takes the opportunity to be the philosopher, and he makes good sense. Richard's golden voice is always a plus.
